As a self-proclaimed bubble tea addict, I’ve spent plenty of time searching for the best boba in Dallas. While we are lucky to have some pretty excellent bubble tea shops in DFW, Fat Straws is hands down my favorite. Here’s my Fat Straws Bubble Tea review.

Fat Straws Bubble Tea
I’ve sampled numerous Fat Straws milk tea and fruit tea flavors, and I’ve never been disappointed. My go-to order is the Honeydew Milk Tea with tapioca boba, but their Classic, Taro, and Thai milk teas are all excellent. I’m a bit of a boba snob, and theirs has the perfect firm, chewy texture I prefer.
Seasonally, Fat Straws will add limited time flavors to their menu. Once you’ve tried their Pumpkin Spice Milk Tea, you’ll leave your old school PSL behind. They also serve up Veitnamese coffee, which has a rich flavor and an ample supply of caffeine. The next drink on the menu I want to taste is their new Dalgona Coffee, inspired by the trendy videos on TikTok.

Fat Straws Chewy Puff Donuts
What makes Fat Straws unique from other DFW bubble tea shops is their selection of chewy puff donuts. The donuts are made with glutinous rice flour, which gives them a smoother, chewier texture than the traditional pastry. They are topped with icing and come in flavors like Fruity Pebbles, Coffee, Churro, Matcha, and more. Pictured above are two of my favorite chewy puff donut flavors: Chocolate and Strawberry.
The colorful, bubbly donuts are definitely instagram-worthy, but most importantly they are delicious. They complement the flavor of a milk tea or coffee for the perfect sugar rush combo.

Visit Fat Straws Bubble Tea
Fat Straws has four total locations around DFW: Alpha Road, Preston Road, Campbell Road in Richardson and Park Boulevard in Plano. See all locations here. They are open from 11 am – 8 pm daily. You can follow them on Instagram for updates on limited time flavors or behind-the-scenes videos of their drink and donut assembly. And if you happen to stop by the Richardson location, you just might bump into me there. Look for a blonde girl sipping her honeydew milk tea with a big smile.
